we chase

and never find

it finds us

when we least expect it

with the person we disregard

we disregard this person

because they don't meet the ideology of our love

they meet the reality

they understand

they have patience for us

they accept

this person we disregard is closer than you think

but further because of our disregard

we want the model

the flashy smile

the money

the body

we forget

that it all fades in time

love is not a myth

its a feeling

one we all feel

even when we feel we don't deserve it

that's when we need it the most

it may not last but we need it
